What we collect and why
If you register your interest, we collect your email address and, if you choose to give it, the description of your work that you select. On the email-confirmation review page, you may also choose any number of feature interests: testing backups and restores; managing SQL Server network certificates; and planning and running migrations. These choices are optional, and you can confirm your email without selecting any. We record when you submitted the form, the consent wording shown at that time, and whether you confirmed or withdrew your signup. Confirmation and unsubscribe links use random tokens; we store hashes of those tokens, not the tokens themselves.
We use your email address and optional work description to manage your signup and send dbatools.pro product and early-access updates. If you select feature interests, we use those choices to understand what prospective users care about and to plan product updates. Your form submission and any voluntary selections on the confirmation page provide consent for this processing. We send a confirmation message to check that you control the email address. You can withdraw at any time using an unsubscribe link in an update or by emailing us.
Who handles the data
Cloudflare hosts the site, stores the interest list, and sends transactional signup messages on our behalf. We do not share signup details with sponsors. Before we use another service to deliver product updates, we will update this notice to identify that service and its role.
Cloudflare may process data outside your country. Where required, international transfers are covered by the safeguards in Cloudflare’s data-processing terms. Ask us at the address above if you want more information about those safeguards.
How long we keep it
We delete unconfirmed signups after 30 days. We keep confirmed interest records, including any optional work description and feature interests, for up to 18 months after confirmation, unless you withdraw sooner or renew your consent. When you unsubscribe, we delete your email address, work description, and feature interests from the interest list and keep only a one-way email hash and the withdrawal time for as long as needed to prevent unwanted messages.
Private-preview access
The password-protected private preview uses one essential, secure session cookie after you enter its password. It expires after eight hours. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers on this site.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data. You can withdraw consent or object to an update by using an unsubscribe link or writing to privacy@dbatools.pro. We will respond to your request under applicable data-protection law. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
